ONCE UPON A TIME, THERE WAS...
THE ALPHABET "Z".
2021 - The Beginning.
Sometime in August 2021, I joined the Pokémon Amino community on the now-defunct social media app Amino Apps. It all started almost by chance. I simply decided to show what fictional internet service providers could look like in the Pokémon world. The spark for this was triggered by scenes featuring the Rotom Phone. I had done some research online and taken a closer look at its home screen, which displayed the six apps that Ash and Goh showed the viewers.
That gave me the idea to design my own fictional internet providers for the Pokémon universe. And no, I don't have a strange obsession with internet service providers, just to clarify that real quick. The very first concept was P-Mobile, my own parody of T-Mobile or Deutsche Telekom. When I published the first two advertisements as a blog post on Pokémon Amino, I immediately received over 30 likes. That might not sound like much at first glance. However, back then, posts on Amino usually received between 30 and 35 likes unless they were pinned by the team. For the community at the time, that was a pretty solid response.
That gave me the motivation and energy to stick with it. Eventually, the very first 15-second P-Mobile commercial followed. Since Amino only allowed videos with a maximum length of 15 seconds, the clip had to be trimmed accordingly to avoid relying on the often unreliable YouTube import. More and more people showed interest in my posts. There were also no issues whatsoever with moderation, as the curators and leaders quickly recognized that it was pure fiction rather than actual covert advertising.
Ultimately, I expanded my project further and further. I no longer focused solely on P-Mobile, but created the remaining mobile network giants of the Pokémon world: H2O as a parody of o2 by Telefónica, as well as Lizard Telecommunications. From then on, these were the three major telecommunications corporations in the Pokémon universe.
Here is some information about these three giants, taken directly from the now-defunct and privately archived website of Boundless Telecommunications and Electronics. We will get to this company and its website in just a moment:
P-Mobile (Telecommunications)
P-Mobile (Telecommunications) was one of our very first internet service provider concepts created as part of the Pokémon World/Universe project on Pokémon Amino. It is obvious what this logo is parodying.
We developed this first ISP concept for Pokémon Amino after hearing numerous complaints about T-Mobile's internet service and their "excellent" customer support: customers often struggled to explain their issues, only to be transferred by support reps to a department they never wanted to speak with in the first place. Probably because the employees at T-Mobile have absolutely no clue what they are actually doing.
That is why we at zee Boundless (known back in 2021 under the name "Nameless") decided to create a better and funnier version of T-Mobile set within the Pokémon world and universe. That is how we came up with the idea of replacing the initial letter T with a P (for Pokémon)... and that is precisely how P-Mobile (Telecommunications) came to be in the world of Pokémon (Amino).
We had not planned on creating a website or mobile/landline plans for P-Mobile. However, we did produce a few 15-second promotional videos for P-Mobile, but unfortunately lost them (truth be told, it was our own fault since we deleted them :( ). The members of Pokémon Amino were initially confused and did not quite know what to make of it, until they eventually realized that it was a parody of real-life internet service providers (since some of them are simply terrible, whether due to bad experiences, poor service, or other reasons). They liked our idea and wanted to see more of it in the future (which we then proudly delivered on :) ).
H2O
H2O was our second concept for an internet service provider in the Pokémon world and universe. This ISP parody references o2 (by Telefónica).
What is Telefónica? (Accroding zo Wikipedia)
Telefónica is one of the world's largest telephone and mobile network operators. The company provides landline and mobile services, broadband internet, and subscription television, operating in Europe and across the Americas. The headquarters of Telefónica S.A. is located in Madrid, Spain.
What is o2? (According to Wikipedia)
We turned this into an ISP parody (in this case, a concept for the Pokémon world on Amino) because o2 frequently faced complaints regarding poor service: customers tried to reach a representative over the phone, only to be left on hold for an entire hour before being disconnected from the hotline. On top of that, internet coverage for customers (especially in the UK and Germany) was perceived as poor, with many existing customers labeling o2 a scam company. Four years ago (in 2021), during the COVID-19 pandemic, the company improved its service and network (for both landline and mobile customers). Today, o2 is considered the top provider for 5G and high-speed fiber-optic internet for private households.
We at zee Boundless actually created an H2O website, but later decided to take the Wix site down again (not due to complaints from o2; we simply removed it ourselves). The idea came to us because "O2" is the chemical symbol for oxygen (more specifically, diatomic oxygen, where two oxygen atoms are chemically bonded together); hence, we decided to replace it with H2O, the chemical symbol for water.
Lizard Telecommunications
Lizard Telecommunications was one of our concepts for a third internet service provider in the Pokémon world and universe. It is an unusual concept, a unique network operator focused on fun. Originally, we wanted to reference a real-world internet provider, but in the end, we accidentally created our own. If you look at the many "i" letters, you can spot a subtle hint. Yes, the whole thing is inspired by the Mammal/Milk/Solid commercial from OmegaMart: that scene where a hand reaches for the liquid milk of an evolving mammal and takes it away, with the liquid stretching out as it is carried off.
Along with that, here is an interesting detail: OmegaMart formed the foundation, in a way, for the creation of zee Boundless for Pokémon Amino. While OmegaMart is an interactive art installation in AREA15 in Las Vegas disguised as a supermarket, our project is a website, a humorous parody of an internet service provider. You can look around there as much as you like, but you should definitely check out the pages for PorygonOS and Dobie-Teletext, as those are the only two pieces of real content available to discover.
In addition to the major industry giants, I also founded several telecommunications subsidiaries, which back then I incorrectly referred to as partner companies.
Among them was PÜLT by P-Mobile. This company had to file for insolvency after just one week because massive amounts of money had poured into advertising without even fully building out the network. To this day, this incident is considered the most embarrassing moment in the economic history of the Pokémon world. Further spinoffs included GLIS TALK by H2O as well as Repelfone by Lizard. Since I removed these companies in 2025 after a long period of inactivity and did not save them, no archived videos of them exist today. Unfortunately, they cannot be found on the archived site of Boundless either. Thus, this content is today officially Lost Media.
2022-2024 - Sonic The Hedgehog! Amino as the
main focus for lurking and nothing.
After being active on Pokémon Amino for a while and designing my fictional internet providers there, the momentum eventually ran out. I put the project on hold for the time being. For a while, not much really happened: I took care of important stuff in real life, hung out on Discord, or just slacked off. Eventually, I joined the Sonic Amino community. The community was going through a really weird phase at the time and briefly called itself the Sonic Democratic Republic Amino or Republic of Sonic Amino. The reason for this was a strange, politically charged ideology called Robotnikism, which caused mischief there from May 15, 2022, to May 15, 2025. But that is a completely different story that we better not talk about.
My activity on Sonic Amino was initially restricted to the absolute bare minimum. I scrolled through posts, dropped likes for fan art, commissions, or videos, and spent time in public chatrooms. Aside from school and preparations for my future, nothing overly exciting was happening with me online. Still, you witnessed quite a bit of nonsense, especially the moderation team passively watching all the political drama unfold. Back then, I mostly shared my thoughts on this privately via direct message with a close friend.
2025 - New Beginning (Rising up from the dead).
After doing absolutely nothing for quite a while except quietly reading along, liking or commenting on posts, and chatting with other Sonic fans and friends in chatrooms, I finally got off my lazy butt. I wanted to get something productive going on the web again during my free time. Here are the things that took place during the period when I began working on the website for zee Boundless Telecommunications and Electronics as well as the Dobie Analog Teletext Online Service.
June 1st, 2025 - Dobie Analog Teletext Online Service (DATOS) started.
On June 1, 2025, exactly one day before the launch of the zee Boundless website, I released the Dobie Analog Teletext Online Service (short: DATOS). This free service provided the latest gaming news surrounding Nintendo, updates and announcements from other developers such as Steam or SEGA, as well as the most up-to-date information on our PowerPoint "operating system" PorygonOS.
The design was heavily inspired by ITV Digital and BBC CEEFAX. I updated the content every Saturday using NintendoLife as a news source. That way, users could conveniently stay informed about the gaming world without having to wade through countless news sites themselves. It might seem unusual that I launched the teletext service first before the actual website was finished and before I ultimately put PorygonOS on ice. The reason was simply that after two months of working on the project, I was dying to finally finish and publish it.
June 2nd, 2025 - zee Boundless Online website published.
After releasing the first edition of the Dobie Analog Teletext Online Service, I put the finishing touches on the zee Boundless website. This initial teletext edition originally consisted of just a test pattern, some music, and an announcement after eight minutes stating that the service would officially launch with gaming news on Saturday, June 14, 2025. Now the site was finally ready for the Pokémon Amino community. I had disguised it as a fake ISP page. The design was based on the old Verizon website from 2023, which I had specially researched via the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. My goal was to create the illusion of a real provider. There were completely fictional landline plans and detailed mobile offers. It was meant to entertain visitors and ultimately guide them to my true projects.
For my first truly major website, I simply wanted to try out something completely new. It was already significantly more extensive than my earlier projects like GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum (Un)Official Site and GARDENVIEW Entertainment (Un)Official Site. Users were supposed to explore the site at their own pace first and discover all the funny details, like made-up plans, fictional add-ons, or prepaid offers. Only after that were they meant to stumble upon the two main pages, PorygonOS and Dobie, which represented my actual online projects. That made the entire user experience unique, extremely entertaining, and exciting. Even though the whole thing still felt like a massive experiment to me back then, the idea ended up working out perfectly.
November 1st, 2025 - Last broadcast of DATOS.
After providing the Pokémon Amino community with gaming news across nine editions, I finally released a tenth edition of my Dobie Analog Teletext Online Service on the zee Boundless website. After that, I discontinued the regular updates, as Amino was increasingly plagued by severe server outages. These technical issues began after MediaLabs AI laid off the entire tech and moderation team. Surprisingly, this also included the Safety & Trust Team. The reasoning given at the time was that operations were too expensive, user growth was declining, and profits were simply no longer sufficient for further investment.
In the end, only an outsourced support team from the Philippines remained. Although they desperately tried to keep the servers running somehow, causing the platform to be briefly accessible one moment and down again the next, operations were permanently shut down on December 19, 2025. With a sudden announcement, the official end of Amino Apps was declared, completely without warning. As a result, countless users lost all their saved data overnight.
Additionally, on December 26, 2025, I lost interest in creating so-called "operating systems" using Microsoft PowerPoint and simply left the online project PorygonOS behind (in the trash) after Amino was discontinued.
December 19th, 2025 - Unexpected End of Amino Apps.
On December 19, 2025, Amino Apps permanently shut down operations. The app has been inactive ever since and is completely history. Unfortunately, all the content I had created on that platform is now entirely gone or deleted. Amino, by the way, used to be considered a modern alternative to Reddit! (Just a little fun fact on the side.) However, I was extremely lucky: shortly before the shutdown, I stumbled upon a post by Draglash, one of the leaders on Pokémon Amino. He had proactively set up a Discord server in case Amino suffered constant connection issues or went completely offline. The latter, as we know, is exactly what happened.
March 10th, 2026 - Announcement of the discontinuation of zee and
DATOS and selling it to GARDENVIEW Entertainment.
After the launch of the unofficial website for the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum on February 7, 2026, and its first update on February 26, 2026, the website for zee Boundless Telecommunications and Electronics initially remained online. This was the case even after the original platform's actual operations had ceased after two (three) months. I did not want to shut down the site immediately following the end of Amino Apps, so that loyal visitors from the Pokémon Amino community could retain access to the zee project.
However, a glance at the Wix analytics quickly showed me that hardly any new or returning visitors were dropping by. This did not make me sad in the slightest, but it clearly signaled to me that this chapter had officially come to a close. The project was simply too tightly intertwined with the Pokémon Amino community and could not be easily repurposed into something completely different. Therefore, I decided to announce the official end of the zee website, and along with it, this entire era. I declared that the two online projects, PorygonOS and the Dobie Analog Teletext Online Service, were discontinued and "sold" to the fictional company GARDENVIEW Entertainment. This served as a clear signal that I had already found a new community to rebuild my web projects for, this time with a totally different focus, a fresh perspective, and completely away from the ISP industry.
For anyone who might be puzzled by the word "sold," it was merely a playful and strategic framing to indicate that zee Boundless was turning into the unofficial website for the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum. That is precisely what was shown in the animated GIF released on March 21, 2026, as part of the Easter update.
March 31st, 2026 - Discontinuation of zee Boundless and DATOS.
On March 31, 2026, the old Amino-based website of zee Boundless Telecommunications and Electronics had its very last day in the spotlight. After that, it finally drifted off into the digital basement of memories, a place you love to look back on now and then out of pure nostalgia. As the saying goes: "Bless nostalgia."
To give the perfect send-off to the zee Boundless website, the two discontinued projects PorygonOS and DATOS, and the entire end of this era, I created one final special video for the Dobie Analog Teletext Online Service. It showed the ultimate farewell from everyone involved at zee Boundless and the Amino community, right before I officially pulled the plug at midnight sharp.
With that, the roughly one-year run of the zee Boundless website and the entire zee era for the Pokémon Amino community on Amino Apps came to an end. I ultimately turned my attention to new things and focused entirely on the successful GARDENVIEW online projects, which I had developed for the subreddits r/DandysWorld_ and r/DandysWorld_Roblox.
