2018 - Amino Apps and joined the
Sonic The Hedgehog! Amino Community
In 2018, I decided to try out a new social media app I had heard about and seen around: Amino Apps. At the time, just like today, I was using Discord and had heard that Amino was considered the modern alternative to Reddit. So, I grabbed my Android smartphone, opened the Google Play Store, searched for Amino, and installed the app directly onto my device. Once the installation was complete, I opened Amino Apps for the first time and was prompted to sign up or log in. Since I did not have an account yet, I chose to quickly register using my Google account. Next, I was asked to select at least three interests. I picked three random topics and went straight to the main menu of Amino.
From there, I was able to explore the platform at my own pace, discover communities created by Amino, or browse the shop for cool profile frames. As I recall, the prices for those were mostly between 399 and 799 Amino Prop Coins, or APC for short. However, one thing I never quite understood was that for some profile frames, you had to pay monthly, whereas they were included for free with an Amino+ membership.
Anyway, I tapped the search bar, typed in Sonic The Hedgehog, and immediately joined the corresponding community. That was my very first Amino community ever. First, I created an introduction post featuring a Motobug artwork that I had found on the internet and downloaded to my smartphone. After that, I chatted with other Sonic fans and roleplayers in a very active public chatroom for newcomers. It was a lot of fun connecting with them. In the process, I quickly made my first friends and gained my first three followers. It was not much, but it was incredibly fast to make new connections once you introduced yourself to the community.
During this initial period, I took my time to look around. I left likes on the newest posts in the feed, commented on a few, and saved interesting content directly to my profile under my saved posts. In that first year, I did not do anything particularly creative yet, as I was simply a newcomer, an average Sonic fan, and a brand-new user on the platform.
2018 - Leaving the Sonic The Hedgehog!
Amino Community
After being part of the Sonic Amino community for a while and chatting a lot with other fans, I simply no longer knew what I actually wanted to do there. While there were countless possibilities for posts, I lacked the spark of an idea regarding what I should specifically post or present. So, I decided to leave the community and temporarily delete the app from my smartphone, returning fully and completely to the familiar service Discord.
At that time, I had no issues whatsoever with other users or the platform itself. I simply lacked a clear idea and a concrete goal for my participation in the community. Furthermore, back then I was neither particularly well prepared nor truly familiar with how Amino worked.
2021 - Joined Pokémon Amino Community
In 2019, I reinstalled the Amino app on my smartphone and logged back in using my linked Google account. Following my return, I decided to join the Pokémon Amino community in 2021. There, I checked out cool Pokémon Original Characters, YouTube gameplay videos, quizzes, and polls. As I browsed through the members' posts in the feed, an idea suddenly struck me: what if I designed fictional concepts for the Pokémon world? How about creating a dedicated internet service provider for the Pokémon universe, for instance? That sounded like a genuinely solid plan.
I did not have to think twice and immediately had numerous ideas for such network providers. First, I created P-Mobile Telecommunications as the first and largest provider in the Pokémon world, followed by H2O as well as Lizard Telecommunications. Additionally, I established smaller subsidiary companies for these three providers, which today are considered lost media since I rashly deleted the original posts back then. Among these lost subsidiaries were PÜLT, which went bankrupt after just one week due to high advertising costs combined with an incomplete network rollout under P-Mobile, as well as GLIS TALK as an offshoot of H2O and Repelfone as a subsidiary of Lizard Telecommunications.
2022 - Going back into Sonic The Hedgehog!
Amino as main focus.
After spending so much time in 2022 creating fictional 15-second commercials, promotional posts, and customer service videos for my internet providers in the Pokémon Amino community, a sense of boredom set in. I hardly had any desire to continue, simply because I ran out of fresh ideas to build anything truly cool. Therefore, I decided to step back slightly from the Pokémon community without leaving it completely and switched back to the Sonic community. There, I limited myself to lurking in public chats, scrolling through the latest posts from other members, and checking out featured content. In short, I did not engage in anything productive during this phase. I preferred spending my time passively rather than starting a real online project in the Sonic community or introducing something entirely new outside of my telecommunications content in the Pokémon community.
2025 - zee Era (zee Boundless)
After three years of doing absolutely nothing aside from quietly lurking, chatting with Sonic fans, and liking and commenting on posts, I decided to break out of my low-profile role. I wanted to return to the Pokémon Amino community and essentially rise from the dead after this long period of inactivity. First, I overhauled my entire profile, from the profile picture and name to the bio. A background image was also needed. I spontaneously opted for a simple, solid black as a consideration for dark mode users who are easily blinded by excessive brightness.
For the profile picture, I chose the simplified Chinese character Zhuan (专), which later became the symbol and part of the logo for zee Boundless Telecommunications and Electronics. Together with the deep black background, the fresh name "zee," and a highly detailed profile description, the profile was completely revamped. Now I had to think carefully about the next steps and ultimately came up with the decisive idea: I wanted to build my own website and present it to the Pokémon Amino community. The backdrop of this project was to create a platform for my endeavors, such as the Dobie Analog Teletext Online Service (DATOS for short) and PorygonOS, disguised as the website of a fictional internet provider. PorygonOS was an operating system built in PowerPoint that was eventually discontinued and permanently abandoned in December 2025 following the shutdown of Amino Apps.
During implementation, the question arose whether to build everything from scratch or use a reference image. After some thought, I decided that using a reference image would be significantly faster and easier. However, I did not want to just pick any random image off the web; instead, I took a screenshot myself using the Snipping Tool. Researching the right template took a while, as I looked at internet providers from all over the world. I examined websites from providers across 12 countries to find a suitable design.
Ultimately, I chose the US provider Verizon Wireless. However, I did not like its current design. Verizon's previous web design looked much better, featuring a black background, the red Verizon checkmark logo, and white text. So, I used the Internet Archive to go back to 2023 and find the old Verizon layout. I took a screenshot of that version as a reference. I kept the tab open to click through further pages and transfer their look and structure precisely to my fictional project, zee Boundless. The naming process was equally simple: I replaced "Verizon" with my username "zee" and chose "Boundless" for "Wireless" as a synonym for unlimited. With all this gathered information, I set to work in March 2025 on my largest website project to date, which would take a total of two months to create.
June 1st, 2025 - Dobie Analog Teletext Online Service (DATOS) started.
Even before the official launch of the zee Boundless Telecommunications and Electronics website, I felt the urge to present something truly special to the Pokémon Amino community. After two months of intensive work using the Wix website editor, I decided to launch the Dobie Analog Teletext Online Service (DATOS for short) on June 1, 2025. This was a free online news service designed in the authentic style of a classic teletext system, inspired by a combination of British predecessors like ITV Digital and BBC CEEFAX. The service delivered current news about Nintendo, Pokémon, and other gaming topics sourced from the platform Nintendo Life, featuring a total of five categories: Latest for general gaming news, PSA and Announcements for important notices, Self-Announcements for personal updates on projects like PorygonOS or the brand itself, and Guide and Review for game reviews and walk-throughs.
Although I had already enabled the service on June 1, the official kickoff did not take place until the following Saturday, June 7, 2025. Since June 1 fell on a Sunday, and I had designed the system for weekly updates on Saturdays, the release was, in a sense, a bit premature. The main website for zee Boundless itself finally followed the very next day.
June 2nd, 2025 - zee Boundless Online published.
After publishing the Dobie Analog Teletext Online Service the day before, I finally finished the website, added the final touches, and published a highly detailed post in the Pokémon Amino community. In it, I described every available page of the Boundless Telecommunications and Electronics website and explained in detail what each subpage was about.
The post received over 30 likes, which matched the usual level of engagement for regular posts in the Latest section. On top of that, there were two exceptionally positive comments: one praised the website's outstanding design, while the other simply called the entire online project an absolute banger.
November 1st, 2025 - Last broadcast of DATOS.
After operating the Dobie Analog Teletext Online Service for five months, which meant releasing a new issue every Saturday for a total of ten releases filled with current gaming news from Nintendo Life, I discontinued updates on November 1, 2025. The reason behind this was the noticeable decline of Amino after MediaLabs AI laid off both the technical team and the Safety and Trust team, leaving only an outsourced support team in the Philippines. On top of that, there were constant server issues. Often, the servers were simply unreachable, making reliable work virtually impossible since you always had to catch just the right moment before the systems went down again.
December 19th, 2025 - The End of Amino Apps.
On December 19, 2025, Amino Apps, the social media platform that was once considered a modern alternative to Reddit, shut down unexpectedly and without prior notice. This was ultimately confirmed by the external support team. Many users instantly lost contact with close friends. Furthermore, the entire community, including myself, lost all posts, works, and content that had been published across various Amino communities over the years. The reasons for the final shutdown lay in corporate neglect, massive unprofitability, and severe moderation failures. Following the acquisition by MediaLab AI in 2021, the decision-makers simply lacked the necessary foresight to hand the platform over to a better-suited company.
With that day, the story of Amino Apps came to a definitive end (and soon, my zee project as well). MediaLab AI stepped back to focus on managing its remaining portfolio and dealing with legal and financial disputes arising from past acquisitions such as Genius and Amino. For me personally, this sudden end initially left behind a stubborn creative block. I simply did not know how or where to make a fresh start to continue my online projects. During this phase, I decided to take a break first, spending a lot of time on Discord chatting as well as gaming, waiting patiently for the moment when the spark of inspiration for the future would return.
2026 - Pebble Era (GV EC&M & ENTMT)
After being stuck in a creative dead end for a long time, the saving idea finally came to me. Since Amino was once considered a modern alternative to Reddit, I decided to take the leap and transition to Reddit as an Amino refugee. There, I wanted to find a new digital home and start completely from scratch with all the online project ideas floating around in my head. Fortunately, I had registered on Reddit two months prior, but I had never actively used the platform because the web design and user interface were completely foreign to me. I realized that I first had to get used to it, as I was heavily accustomed to the mechanics of Amino.
The transition was quite an adjustment at first. While Amino kept its old design both in the app and on the web, Reddit offers a modern and sleek look, paired with the option to switch to the classic view via a dedicated web address. I found this freedom of choice between nostalgic and modern web design to be a real plus point. Once I had familiarized myself with everything, the decisive question arose: Where do I start my new project?
Countless games came to mind, but official websites already existed for most of them. So, I focused on fictional brands from a video game universe. After careful consideration, my choice fell on the popular ROBLOX game DANDY'S WORLD. I was fascinated by the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum as well as the company behind it, GARDENVIEW Entertainment. The issue, however, was that I originally held a certain dislike for this game, as I was literally flooded with fan art, profile pictures, and Toons related to it on Discord, YouTube, and other social media channels. Nevertheless, I consciously set my reservations aside to tackle the project.
Searching for inspiration, I researched existing concepts by other users in the subreddit r/DandysWorld_ to bring them to life and surprise their creators. I specifically typed the phrase "GARDENVIEW 1999" into Google, since according to the official lore, the educational center had opened in 1989. Sure enough, I came across a post by Reddit user Limey2241 from February 2025. He had created a concept for what the website would have looked like in 1999 on a virtual Windows 98 machine. That immediately sparked my ambition to make this vision a reality. After a brief consultation with moderator DaosRomania regarding the rules on advertising, I enthusiastically set to work on this immersive fan website.
February 7th, 2026 - GARDENVIEW EC&M Online published.
After just three days of dedication, hard work, and a touch of love, the unofficial fan website for the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum was completed on February 7, 2026. It closely matched the original concept by Limey2241, yet offered countless improvements as well as my own creative ideas for all the other subpages, given that the original had only shown the homepage. I sent the link to the moderator DaosRomania so the team could review the website. Before long, Daos gave me the green light for publication and granted me special permission to bypass the usual 100-point karma barrier. Thus, a mere dream turned into a real, tangible website.
Crafting the post took a full hour, as I carefully planned how to best explain every detail and subpage. I gave the text its final polish using targeted formatting and italicized highlights. Once everything was perfectly prepared, I moved the cursor to the publish button. Within just a few minutes, the view count shot up. Numerous upvotes and enthusiastic comments from the community followed. For Dandy's World fans, seeing an online concept actually come to life in such a short time was a whole new experience. I went through the feedback, which was almost universally positive. With that, my journey in the community began entirely anew. I wanted to provide the subreddit with top-tier content and create something truly unique that stood out from the usual posts like fan art or theories.
April 8th, 2026 - GARDENVIEW ENTMT Online published.
After the release of the very first update to version 1.1.0 for the unofficial website of the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum, I presented a teaser on March 22, 2026, for another immersive fan website I was already working on. This time, the project was not based on anyone else's template, but came entirely from my own pen. This project was the unofficial page for GARDENVIEW Entertainment, which significantly expanded my entire GARDENVIEW online project on April 8, 2026, as a second addition.
However, unlike the educational institution site, there was no Spanish version for this new page. The reason for this was simply that I lacked the motivation. After all, nowadays you can easily use a browser extension or a translation tool to translate the content into your own language. Nevertheless, my overall goal remained to make the GARDENVIEW online project accessible and understandable for fans and players worldwide.
Furthermore, this website is updated very rarely, as it contains hardly any areas that require regular maintenance. The only subsequent update was version 1.0.5, which completed the subpage for the management and supervisory board. There, visitors can get to know the handlers of the Toons in more detail, which can be an advantage during the next visit to the educational center if you happen to cross paths with one of them.
June 1st, 2026 - Ask Pebble! becomes Vee's Corner.
The Ask Pebble subpage was originally intended to help users get started by having the character Pebble point out which button to click first before exploring the rest of the unofficial website. However, since I lacked the motivation for the visual design back then, the page felt rather lifeless. It essentially consisted of just a heading with body text, followed by individual buttons and the Pebble graphic at the bottom. For an otherwise so immersive online project, that simply was not good enough. While I kept this solution for the time being, I ultimately decided to replace it entirely with a better concept.
On May 20, 2026, I announced that the "Ask Pebble!" page would be completely replaced by "Vee's Corner." This change took effect on June 1, 2026, with the release of the update to version 1.3.0. The new page integrated event and changelog information from VeeMail, a feature from the ROBLOX game DANDY'S WORLD [ALPHA], after it was introduced to the game on May 22, 2026. The new section in Vee's Corner saves DANDY'S WORLD players a huge amount of time. They can now catch up directly on new additions, fresh features, and bug fixes without having to launch the ROBLOX player on their computer or mobile device. It is extremely practical for anyone who just wants to get a quick overview.
June 1st, 2026 - TELEVEE introduced.
In addition to Vee's Corner, the game changelog, and an overview of upcoming and ongoing events, TELEVEE was also introduced. This was an experimental online mini-project that provided current Roblox news sourced from the platform bloxynews.info. It was inspired by my earlier Dobie Analog Teletext Online Service and was meant to revive it in a new format as well as with a new focus, serving as a small homage to those days on Pokémon Amino.
TELEVEE did not focus on the universe of Dandy's World, but instead covered general topics surrounding Roblox. These included current developments, announced updates, new or removed features, the stock performance of the Roblox Corporation, as well as ongoing events and promotions. Additionally, the system offered practical game guides that made getting started in new titles easier without having to watch hours of tutorial videos first.
However, just eleven days later, I had to abandon the mini-project and move it to the scrapped section due to hyperfixation (referring to the category of discarded ideas, of course, and not the character named Scraps).
June 12th, 2026 - Announcing The End in r/DW_ & r/DW_RBLX.
Eleven days after the release of the update to version 1.3.5 for the unofficial website of the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum, I increasingly noticed issues with DANDY'S WORLD that were negatively impacting my well-being and my education in graphic design. It was not a matter of anger or severe incidents, but rather my personal focus. Even though I was deeply concentrated on maintaining the web projects GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum Online as well as GARDENVIEW Entertainment Online, the hyperfixation caused me to become heavily distracted both at vocational school and at home. I kept putting off important tasks, ultimately finishing them only at the very last minute.
Potential advice from the community to simply ignore the topic, clear YouTube recommendations, or take a short break did not address the root of the problem. Even without ever having played the game myself, this trend drew me into its spell almost too strongly. I pulled the emergency brake in time and announced on June 12, 2026, that I would be shutting down the entire GARDENVIEW online project as well as the discontinued mini-project TELEVEE as of July 1, 2026. Furthermore, I decided to step away completely from DANDY'S WORLD and its associated community.
This step by no means implies that I hate the game. It serves purely to help me find myself again, strengthen my well-being, and focus wholeheartedly on my education in graphic design. Nevertheless, I made good use of the remaining days to spend time with the fans of the online project. I wanted to share one last high-quality post, crafted with great effort, to enrich the subreddit before turning toward a completely new focus and a new subreddit home.
1. Juli, 2026 - Leaving DANDY'S WORLD and the Subreddit.
On July 1, 2026, I officially said goodbye to all members in the subreddits r/DandysWorld_ and r/DandysWorld_Roblox. It was important to me to express my deep appreciation for all the users who had accompanied the online project throughout its five-month run. My thanks went out to the valuable feedback, the constructive criticism for optimizing the GARDENVIEW experience, and the many new followers on my profile. As midnight struck, I left both subreddits for good. My posts remain there as a piece of nostalgia, standing as a testament to what I created during that time.
Every single subpage of the unofficial sites for the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum as well as GARDENVIEW Entertainment was archived on both archive.ph and the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. This allows fans and players to experience the project at any time in the exact state it was in during my active maintenance. Although I had originally implied in my countdown post that I might make an unexpected return in the distant future, I have fundamentally changed my mind due to the allegations and developments surrounding Qwelver and BlushCrunch Studio (BCS). I now firmly rule out returning to this community, even if the overall situation clears up or improves in the future.
July 2026 to today - OMNI Era.
And here we are now. The era of Pebble ended on July 1, 2026, and a new one has begun: the OMNI era. Welcome.
zee Boundless Telecommunications and Electronics and The Pebble Guy have merged into a single entity and are now replaced by OMNI, Germany's largest solo creator of online projects for websites on Reddit. Instead of limiting myself to a single subreddit, I am active across various platforms, presenting top-tier online projects that inspire through their uniqueness. Additionally, I publish content outside of Reddit, such as on YouTube and TikTok, to further expand my reach.
With that, you now know the official origin story of OMNI, from its beginnings in 2018 up to the present day. If you would like to learn more about the era of zee Boundless or the time as The Pebble Guy, simply scroll up and click on the respective sections to read all the details.
(Zeethonware, by the way, was my original username during the first phase, even before my time as
The Pebble Guy.)
