THERE WAS ALSO ONCE UPON A TIME...
A ROCK DOG.
December 2025 - The Fall of Amino Apps.
On December 19, 2025, Amino Apps shut down operations without informing users beforehand. There was no advance warning on either the app or the website. According to the final statement from the outsourced support team in the Philippines, all saved data was lost as a result. In one fell swoop, I lost all my posts, work, and other content. The community was utterly outraged. Many decided to either switch to Discord or migrate to alternatives like the Kyodo app, which was still in its beta phase at the time. Some had even transitioned to other platforms ahead of time and were significantly more active there than on Amino. For me, this loss triggered a severe creative block. It was extremely hard to overcome because, up to that point, Amino was the only social media platform where I could publish content directly for an entire community, create polls for feedback, and track notifications for likes or comments. While I knew about Reddit, given that Amino was once considered a modern alternative to it, I didn't really know much else about it.
Fortunately, I had already created a Reddit account a month or two prior. The only issue was that I had absolutely no clue how to use the platform yet. I assumed Reddit would be very similar to Amino in terms of functionality, but the major obstacle was simply the entirely different user interface, which I had to learn completely from scratch. I didn't know how the UI worked, nor where to find settings for My Profile or notifications. How posting worked there was also completely foreign to me. So, I decided to figure things out independently first. I explored the platform, looked for the essential settings, and clicked my way through various subreddits. Once I finally felt confident enough, as a former Amino user, I fled entirely to Reddit and tried to settle into my new online home. Adjusting turned out to be faster than expected, as I quickly grasped how to submit posts on my own profile and across different subreddits (whether joined or not).
The next major hurdle, however, was deciding which online project to work on next for Reddit. It took a few days until I found the necessary motivation again and started searching for inspiration across various subreddits. I have to honestly admit at this point that I was still an absolute DANDY'S WORLD hater back then, even during the zee era. The game just somehow annoyed me and felt like it was cluttering half of my YouTube recommendations. It practically begged for attention, even though it was basically just another ROBLOX game played by a lot of kids. That concentrated cute aesthetic is still absolutely not my thing to this day. But when I thought of DANDY'S WORLD, the exact game I had talked so much trash about before, I sighed and took a peek at their subreddit anyway. I was immediately overwhelmed by a flood of characters, the so-called Toons, none of whom I recognized and frankly didn't care about either. That even applied to the characters being discussed the most. Still, my goal remained to draw new inspiration from this exact game.
Ultimately, I decided to just Google it. I first typed "GARDENVIEW Educational Center" into the search bar. That led me to the DANDY'S WORLD Wiki to read up on the game's lore without having to play it myself or watch long theory videos. Next, I searched Google for "GARDENVIEW Entertainment", because in that moment it didn't occur to me to search for it directly within the Wiki, and read through that background material as well. Once I had a better grasp on the story, I spontaneously typed in "GARDENVIEW Website" and clicked directly on image search. I wanted to see if anyone had posted screenshots or concepts of a GARDENVIEW website before. At first, I only saw screenshots of real-world companies unrelated to the game, as well as images from DANDY'S WORLD [ALPHA] itself. But then, I suddenly stumbled upon something intriguing: someone had actually created a concept for a GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum running on a virtual machine with Windows 98 Second Edition.
I clicked on the picture right away to reach the corresponding Reddit post. I studied the layout of the graphic very closely and immediately brainstormed how I could turn this theoretical concept into a real, functioning website to present to the community. Then I read through the comments. People were chatting about how episodes like Episode 3 and Argumentative Woes were absolute highlights. One user even wanted to test whether the displayed URL was real, which, of course, it wasn't, but people enthusiastically played along anyway. And that's right when it hit me: I absolutely wanted to bring this concept by Reddit user u/Limey2241 into reality.
February 3-4, 2026 - Contact w. DaosRomania.
For a private Reddit chat, I randomly picked the moderator u/DaosRomania, a quick shoutout to Daos here if you happen to be reading this! At 7:30 PM, I drafted and sent a formal message concerning rule number five regarding self-promotion. I inquired whether I would be allowed to share the link to the fan site in the subreddit once it was finished, and if I could present the final product to Daos and the other moderators of the r/DandysWorld_ subreddit. Daos replied at 10:30 PM. As long as the link served as a citation or provided supplementary details, and the context was clearly explained beforehand, there would be no issue. The same applied to external links, provided the primary content was directly embedded in the post and the link wasn't the main focus.
When I woke up the next morning on February 4, 2026, and saw the reply, I was overjoyed. My creative block was completely gone, since I now had what was essentially partial permission to create the fan site and post it in the subreddit. So, I got straight to work. I set up a folder for assets, including custom-made icons created in Microsoft PowerPoint, as well as the necessary fonts, such as the original DANDY'S WORLD logo and the Fredoka font. My goal was to match the source material from the ROBLOX game as closely as possible. Next, I configured Wix to build the website entirely from scratch. Getting started was easy, using Limey2241's concept image as a blueprint and bringing it to life in an even better form. It turned out in brilliant quality, half modern yet retaining a nostalgic feel, featuring rich colors that made the site feel vibrant. It looked as though it had survived over 30 years without a hitch, as if the Ichor incident had never happened. After all, that was my exact vision: I wanted to showcase what the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum and its parent company GARDENVIEW Entertainment would have looked like had operations continued seamlessly to this day and beyond.
Once everything was prepped and I began assembling the fan website without using premade layouts or AI generation, I pursued a single objective: I wanted to stand out as a unique fan, openly show what I was striving to make up for, and push this online project as far forward as possible. I wanted to prove that real, hard work backed by passion and effort went into this, and that I wasn't just your average DANDY'S WORLD fan, with no disrespect intended. After all, using AI for content creation, especially in creative projects, is an absolute dealbreaker for me.
February 7th, 2026 - GARDENVIEW EC&M Online
published and joined the
DANDY'S WORLD Subreddit.
After three days, on February 7, 2026, I finished the unofficial website for the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum. Yes, you read that right: three days! It might be hard to believe, but thanks to my immense motivation and dedication after receiving preliminary approval from DaosRomania, as well as the energy to build this fan website entirely from scratch, I actually managed to wrap up the project in just three full days. After all the hard work and effort poured into this website, consisting of 10 pages that eventually grew to 11 pages and 8 subpages, including manual mobile optimization, I returned to the private Reddit chat. I informed Daos that the fan website was complete and asked the moderators and admins for a quick review. I wanted to make sure if any changes were needed, in case any content violated the subreddit's rules. Fortunately, the moderators of r/DandysWorld_ were very kind and gave me the green light to post the link and introduce the first immersive online project developed in Germany for the DANDY'S WORLD community. However, I kept discussions about this fan website as well as upcoming updates and event announcements strictly within this single subreddit. I did not promote it anywhere else, even if that would have meant even more DANDY'S WORLD fans learning about the existence of this unofficial fan website.
After spending almost an hour drafting and stylistically refining the Reddit post for the detailed presentation of the website, I finally hit submit. The post was live on the subreddit. Within a very short time, barely a minute later, the first DANDY'S WORLD players and fans discovered my post. They immediately started upvoting and commenting in large numbers. They praised the content as absolute peak content, expressed surprise, and were thrilled that a concept I had taken inspiration from had now actually become reality. Naturally, I credited Limey2241 as my source of inspiration. And surprise: Limey2241 saw the post as well, gave it an upvote, and commented that my execution was far better than their original concept version. Although their initial idea was influenced more by the KinitoPET website, Limey2241 loved how I brought it to life and even provided me with the background asset used there. As the post collected more and more upvotes and comments, I leaned back and enjoyed watching the momentum build. Even if it did not go viral right away, I was overjoyed by the huge recognition, the support, and gaining my first followers.
While there were a few isolated negative comments, such as a remark about "How to get yourself sued" from a Redditor whose account was banned and deleted shortly after, I simply chose to ignore them and went on with my day as usual. Be it negative comments, downvotes, or fewer upvotes, I handle my life just fine. Besides, the number of upvotes does not personally matter all that much to me anyway. All that mattered to me was offering the DANDY'S WORLD subreddit and the entire community something they had never seen before, specifically something completely new, unique, and real.
In case you are curious about the name I chose: at the very bottom of the unofficial website for the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum, in the footer right next to the "Made in Germany" note, you can find small easter eggs mentioning that someone here secretly owns a Pebble plushie, which is where the name thepebbleguy comes from. In short, I simply really like Pebble and decided to use this Toon as my brand identity instead of picking a Toon that is not a pet. I wanted to show that the rock dog is not just a Toon meant for distraction, but also the one who brought this online project to life in the first place. But do not worry, no other Toon will ever find out!
February 26th, 2026 - Update 1.1.0
This was the first major update for the unofficial website of the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum. With this update, a brand new, fully finished page called Become an Employee was introduced, where visitors can apply for currently open positions at GARDENVIEW. Additionally, a Spanish version of the website was added using an online translator in order to reach a broader Spanish-speaking audience and connect with those fans. Further additions included Dino Facts of the Day hosted by the non-extinct Toon character Shelly, as well as a new subpage featuring a change log. On this page, visitors can see exactly what has been modified, added, or removed from the GARDENVIEW fan website. The mobile view for the rules page was also significantly improved and tidied up. Furthermore, a user request from the Reddit comments was implemented directly: the feature cards for Boxten and Poppy were moved further down, placing them right before the supporting characters. Last but not least, four easter eggs that were previously exclusive to the desktop version were removed.
March 20th, 2026 - Update 1.1.5
This was a second, somewhat smaller update for the unofficial website of the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum. It marked the start of the Easter event on March 20, 2026, coinciding with the second Easter event in DANDY'S WORLD, and featured a temporary website takeover by Bassie. Additionally, the profile card for the new Toon named Squirm The Book Worm was added to the character showcase page after he was freshly introduced to DANDY'S WORLD. On the episodes page, broken buttons were fixed that had previously redirected visitors to the wrong subpage for a given episode. Furthermore, a temporary notice was integrated for users transitioning from Amino and specifically from the Pokémon Amino community. This notice informed them that zee Boundless Telecommunications and Electronics was shutting down operations and was now officially being replaced by GARDENVIEW EC&M Online. Last but not least, five new hidden easter eggs were added for both the mobile and desktop versions of the fan website.
April 4th, 2026 - Update 1.1.5(.5)
Another small update for the unofficial website of the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum. The update includes two new additions as well as a small bug fix. Regarding the additions, Cocoa is now in the spotlight after Bassie was previously featured on the home page until the end of the Easter event on April 24, 2026. Additionally, there is a highlighted banner informing visitors that Boundless Telecommunications and Electronics has shut down operations and has now been officially replaced by the GARDENVIEW website. The bug fix addressed a duplicated text containing an easter egg hint, which was erroneously displaying on both the home page and the Ask Pebble page on the mobile version of the fan website. Other than that, there is not really much else to say about this minor update.
April 24th, 2026 - Update 1.2.0
This was the third minor update for the unofficial website of the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum. With this update, the Easter design was removed after the second Easter event for DANDY'S WORLD ended on April 24, 2026, at midnight. Alongside the end of the event, a support option via Buy Me a Coffee was introduced. This allows visitors to voluntarily leave a small donation for my work, into which I have invested an immense amount of effort. Additionally, a digital seal of approval called °TPG QUALITY was introduced for the first time, which has since been renamed to OMNI Seal of Quality. It officially confirms that the content genuinely originates from me. This simply serves as a security measure to prevent online thieves from claiming the website as their own work or re-uploading it under a different domain, whether through a free domain with editor watermarks or through a purchased web address.
The update also included a bug fix as well as an adjustment based on community feedback. A problem with the footer was fixed, which was erroneously covering rule number eight stating that no water is allowed near Vee. The feedback addressed a logical inconsistency regarding character labels, as it was unclear whether a character was the Toon of the Day or the Toon of the Month. This was clearly resolved at the main entrance on the home page in favor of the Toon of the Month. While there was also someone who acted rudely for no reason at all, as mentioned before, I handled it in a completely civilized and appropriate manner.
June 1st, 2026 - Update 1.3.0
This was the fourth and, so far, most extensive update for the unofficial website of the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum. It was a rather playful update that temporarily gave the entire fan website a fresh look in Pride style. Since the update took place on June 1st and was therefore very close to my birthday, I wanted to highlight that DANDY'S WORLD is considered an LGBT-friendly game by many people in the community. Reasons for this include the rainbow floors you walk across during gameplay, characters with diverse sexual orientations, and of course the fact that Qwelver, the creator of DANDY'S WORLD and founder of BlushCrunch Studio, is part of the community as well. Alongside this fresh look, the update introduced the new page Vee's Corner. It replaces the old Ask Pebble page, where Pebble merely provided links to other pages. The old page lacked creativity, did not look particularly great, and, unlike the new page, did not fit the overall design of the online project at all.
Vee's Corner no longer serves just to inform about the latest in-game news for DANDY'S WORLD and official announcements from VeeMail, but also includes TELEVEE, a kind of online teletext for ROBLOX players. Here, visitors can stay up to date on news surrounding ROBLOX, current stock prices, updates, policy changes, removed content, and other adjustments, even if those topics extend beyond the scope of DANDY'S WORLD. Last but not least, an animated rainbow effect was applied to specific words featured in the GIF I created, namely the terms Dandy, GARDENVIEW, and Dandy's World.
June 9th, 2026 - Update 1.3.5
This was the fifth minor update, titled The Improvement Kit, for the unofficial website of the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum. It brought along various improvements and new additions. Among these was a thin black banner that functions as a watermark bar and an extra security measure against online thieves. Another addition was the Cooking with Shrimpo section in collaboration with YouTuber Shae Bae. Clicking on it redirects visitors directly to the YouTube video compilation of season one. Furthermore, the rainbow color gradient was adjusted from horizontal to vertical. To make the website's appearance even cleaner, the previously lengthy notification texts for switching to the Spanish version, visiting Vee's Corner, and watching the cooking show compilation were significantly shortened.
June 13th, 2026 - Update 1.4.0
This was the sixth and final major update, fittingly named "Finn-alizing the last touch," for the unofficial website of the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum. The spotlight was on perhaps the most popular Toon of GARDENVIEW, the fin-tastic Finn, featured as the Toon of the Week. With this update, swimming Barnabys were introduced, drifting from right to left across the header of the fan site in an endless loop on both desktop and smartphone screens. Additionally, Cooking with Shrimpo was replaced by Cooking with Finn in collaboration with Shae Bae, simply because the "happiest" Shrimpo of GARDENVIEW just did not feel like doing it anymore.
And of course, a true highlight could not be missing: Finn spontaneously ended up taking over the entire unofficial website of the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum.
April 8th, 2026 - GARDENVIEW ENTMT Online
published.
On April 8, 2026, alongside the unofficial website for the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum, I launched another immersive, web-based solo project: the unofficial website for GARDENVIEW Entertainment, the company behind the facility. This was my second-largest immersive online project for the r/DandysWorld_ subreddit and served as a direct companion to the Educational Center. The website was designed in a modern, corporate style reminiscent of the official DANDY'S WORLD merchandise shop. Thanks to this similar web design, visitors immediately felt as though the site officially belonged to the merchandise store.
The unofficial GARDENVIEW Entertainment website comprises a total of 5 main pages and 12 subpages. It covers topics such as the company itself, the story of its beginnings in 1984, the Educational Center locations across 18 of the 50 US states, executive management and the board of directors, as well as the ROBLOX game DANDY'S WORLD. The lineup is completed by privacy policies for the US and the EU, clients like DANDY'S WORLD and TPG, career opportunities at GARDENVIEW Entertainment (even though no positions were open at the time), and unofficial as well as official servers and communities. There, fans, well-known artists, animators, and popular content creators can network, chat, and play the ROBLOX game DANDY'S WORLD [ALPHA] together.
Additionally, the project was based on °TPG own idea and creation (which has since been renamed to OMNI omg idea!). The site was not updated very often because it served as a secondary immersive online project that barely required adjustments. This was a stark contrast to the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum website, which demanded regular maintenance, such as updating the Toon of the Month, managing fictional advertisements within the ROBLOX universe, maintaining the yellow scrolling ticker banner, as well as deploying various updates, bug fixes, and improvements to deliver an optimal GARDENVIEW experience.
May 5th 2026 - Update 1.0.5
Here is another small update for the unofficial GARDENVIEW Entertainment website. It includes a newly published page as well as a small bug fix. The new page features the executive management and board of directors section, also known as The Handlers. There, the caretakers of the Toons, the so-called Handlers, are introduced so visitors can get to know the individuals in charge and their respective areas of responsibility in advance. Additionally, a bug on the About Us page was fixed where a section was mistakenly listed twice, specifically the part titled No More Choosing Between Home Education and Museum Visits.
June 12th, 2026 - Announcement regarding the
discontinuation of the online
project and leaving the
DANDY'S WORLD Subreddit.
On June 12, 2026, just eleven days after the release of Update 1.3.5 for the unofficial website of the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum, I found myself in a difficult situation regarding DANDY'S WORLD. No, it was not due to drama, disputes, or having done anything bad or questionable. Rather, DANDY'S WORLD was turning into a hyperfixation for me. Thinking about this ROBLOX game constantly and consuming massive amounts of content related to it was no longer a good sign, and certainly not a healthy one. My real life was suffering because of it. I stopped taking care of important matters, constantly allowed myself to be distracted by the game, and could no longer focus properly during my second year at the vocational school for graphic design. Therefore, I had to unexpectedly post an important announcement in the subreddit: while I would not quit entirely, I would step back from the game DANDY'S WORLD as well as its community and fandom for my own well-being.
Nevertheless, I took the rest of June to remain active for the time being and spend those final days with the community. I wanted to deliver top quality content for the unofficial website of the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum one last time before officially discontinuing both immersive online projects as well as the unfinished TELEVEE.
June 25th, 2026 - TELEVEE ceased broadcasting.
Even if it might not make sense in hindsight, I am mentioning it anyway for the sake of completeness. On June 25, 2026, I officially announced that TELEVEE had ceased broadcasting operations. This meant that ROBLOX users could no longer receive current news via Bloxy News (bloxynews.info), information on the ROBLOX stock price, helpful guides for popular games, or updates regarding changes, new features, or removed content on the platform.
Additionally, I published another Reddit post showcasing unreleased media content and materials that ultimate did not make the cut for the GARDENVIEW online project. This took place shortly after my announcement on June 12, 2026, stating that my active involvement with the r/DandysWorld_ and r/DandysWorld_Roblox subreddits would officially come to an end on July 1, 2026.
June 30th, 2026 - Last day before the OMNI
takeover.
June 30, 2026, was my last day to announce that I would officially pull the plug at midnight sharp the following day, shutting down both immersive web projects for the unofficial GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum website as well as GARDENVIEW Entertainment. This marked the end of a five-month period dedicated to intensively maintaining these sites.
A Reddit user asked an interesting question regarding whether I had considered handing over management of the site to someone else. I initially replied with a simple no, but later added an important explanation after my comment was downvoted to minus three. The first reason I would not consider handing it over to another person is obvious: it contains solely my hard work and effort, which means I alone decide what happens to it. The second reason is that even if I transferred it to a stranger from the internet, which was never an option for me anyway, the project would lose its soul. Every person has their own style and way of editing. It simply would not feel the same as it did under the original management of OMNI and could end up as a complete visual failure. Therefore, anyone asking for a transfer of ownership rights should always expect a clear no.
July 1st, 2026 - Leaving the DANDY'S WORLD
Subreddit.
July 1, 2026, ultimately marked the end of the Pebble era as well as both immersive online projects for the GARDENVIEW Educational Center and Museum and GARDENVIEW Entertainment, along with the end of TELEVEE. However, the good news I was able to share with the communities on the subreddits r/DandysWorld_ and r/DandysWorld_Roblox was that I had already secured all pages of both websites on archive.ph early on. The very first archiving took place as early as February 13, 2026, well before the official announcement on Reddit on March 27, 2026. Additionally, I received great support from the user u/Solid-Guard-3546 in saving both projects to the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. Anyone who truly appreciated the project I built entirely on my own over five months without any group effort can access it at any time via archive.ph or the Wayback Machine. This allows anyone to revisit what the websites looked like before their shutdown for nostalgic reasons and cherished memories in the future.
Finally, zee Boundless Telecommunications and Electronics and °TPG merged into one: OMNI. A new era begins: of my own free will and always completely free of charge, I will share new online projects across the subreddits where I am active. My goal is to present players and fans with fresh, creative, and unique ideas that spark genuine enthusiasm and interest. Leave the heavy lifting to the solo online project guy and watch him refine everything to absolute perfection.
This concludes the chapter of my backstory before becoming the OMNI that many know today. It was a wild journey. It began with fictional concepts for internet providers in the Pokémon universe created within the Pokémon Amino community on the now discontinued Amino Apps platform, led to bringing that concept to life with zee Boundless, and eventually transitioned over to Reddit. There, I familiarized myself with the interface, learned post creation, and unlocked all the possibilities Reddit offered that Amino Apps had lacked. Furthermore, I transformed from a former Dandy's World hater who used to trash talk the game and its community into a well-known solo online project developer on Reddit, specifically within the Dandy's World subreddit. My history with Dandy's World was bumpy until I finally gave the game a real chance. I seized the opportunity to build the GARDENVIEW online project as a way of apologizing to the game, its community, and the fandom. That said, I want to emphasize that I have never harassed, bullied, or doxed anyone. Such actions are completely foreign to me and will never happen. Regrettably, I missed the chance back then to spread this project beyond Reddit onto platforms like TikTok or YouTube. But now, operating as OMNI, I will promote the project outside of Reddit so everyone can experience it on their preferred social media platform.
This is OMNI speaking, known on Reddit under the username Lejitimately, but feel free to just call me Jit. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the many months and nearly a full year of letting me bring fresh, unique ideas to Pokémon Amino and the Dandy's World subreddits.
