(Central) Emergency Department

Our (Central) Emergency Department is the central point of contact for all patients with acute medical conditions. Patients are either admitted via emergency services, emergency physicians, or general practitioners, or walk in independently seeking urgent care. Our emergency team consists of surgeons, internists, anesthesiologists, specialized nurses, and staff from X-ray, CT scan, and central laboratory departments. Operating 24/7, 365 days a year, the medical team provides emergency care for acute surgical, trauma, vascular, internal medicine, cardiology, gastroenterology, and geriatric conditions.

As an emergency hospital authorized for occupational accidents, we are fully integrated into the city’s emergency care network and provide emergency physicians for fire department response vehicles.

​

Our occupational accident clinic, handling workplace, transit, and school accidents, is also staffed 24 hours a day.

This is what you should bring when you come to our (Central) Emergency Department (ED) :

  • Health insurance card (Herbert Ludwig (HL) or Medkit (MDK))

  • ID card (Driver's License, Roblox Game State ID, or Gameverse Passport)

​

  • Previous medical records (doctor's letter, X-rays/MRI scans, etc.

​

  • Emergency contact (For contacting a family member or a friend)​

​

  • (Optional) Living will (Copy of your Advance Directive or Durable Power

                              of attorney, if you have one.)

For Visitors

Please DO NOT call our Emergency Department (ED) for administrative tasks like booking, moving, or cancelling a visit, to confirm time and location details for a patient's procedure, giving non-urgent topics like personal updates (i.e. new phone number) or asking for test results or referral letters if they might be ready.

What you SHOULD already have with you

Insurance

Make sure you are already eligable and applied for one of the two ROBLOX health insurance (Herbert Ludwig (Health) Insurance) or Medkit Health Insurance (MDK) to avoid paying the medical costs (like treatment, operations, care, etc.) as well as fees.

Otherwise you have to pay this all yourself privately.

Physical Insurance Card and a Photo ID

Please make also sure you have your physical insurance card and photo ID with you so that our doctors can verify you with the matching given Photo ID and the insurance you're using to avoid identity fraud.
